Hi, I’m Dylan—Marisa’s son. I’m a senior in college studying Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, with a passion for cooking, basketball, video games, hiking, working out, and of course exploring. Food and sustainability are at the heart of who I am, and travel has given me some of my most memorable experiences in both.
Some of my favorite countries I’ve visited include Iceland, where the natural beauty feels otherworldly and the calm, low-key atmosphere makes it the perfect escape from urban life. I also loved Scotland for its endlessly peaceful Highlands. Italy is the country I’ve returned to most, with the Amalfi Coast offering the best ocean view I’ve ever seen and cuisine that never disappoints. My most unforgettable meal was on a food tour in Bologna—an underrated gem every foodie should have on their list.
In the summer of 2025, my family and I traveled across six European countries, but Amsterdam stole my heart. The friendly people, gorgeous canals, and seamless integration of sustainable living and plant life into the city left a lasting impression on me.
Instead of collecting souvenirs, I bring home salts, herbs, and sauces from my travels so I can experiment in the kitchen. It’s my way of keeping each trip alive long after it ends—through food, flavor, and memory.
